The Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation awards grants to organizations for which a small amount of money might make a large difference. The Foundation welcomes requests for support from community-based, non-profit organizations based in the United States.
The Foundation will consider requests to support museums, cultural and performing arts programs; schools and hospitals; educational, skills-training and other programs for youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and programs.
The foundation awards funding for operating support, as well as for specific projects or activities of an organization. The foundation does not have a preference between program and operating support. Grants are not made to individuals.
Eligible applicants are IRS-qualified 501(c)3 non-profit organizations located within the United States. For publicly supported organizations, such as schools or universities for which a 501(c)3 determination is not appropriate, the application should include a signed statement from a senior administrator as to the organization's means of support.
The Foundation makes awards twice a year, once during the Spring Award Round and once during the Fall Award Round:
Awards typically range between $1,000 and $20,000.
