    Summary

    Grant funds through this progam are authorized by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) to serve juvenile offenders, ages 14 and above, in high-poverty, high crime communities. The purpose of these grants is to improve the long-term labor market prospects of these youth.

    Eligible applicants are not-for-profit Section 501(c)(3) organizations with the capacity to implement multi-site, multi-state projects.

    Deadline Details

    The deadline to submit an application was May 1, 2012. The next solicitation is expected to be released in winter 2013.

    Award Details

    ETA has approximately $20 million available under this competition and expects to fund four grants of approximately $5 million each. Cost sharing is not required.
