    Summary

    For 75 years, the Goebel Family Star Lumber Charitable Fund has supported and continues to support hundreds of local organizations in the Central Kansas region that make life better for citizens of the community. The Charitable Trust, services the region by pledging 8% of pre-tax operating profits or materials, to eligible applicants.

    There are two types of awards available: monetary and the donation of materials.

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligibility: Local organizations in the Central Kansas region.
    Fill out an application on-line stating the nature of request and brief description of the project, and how the Lumber Star gift will be used. Submit the application as indicated.

    Deadline Details

    There is no deadline to apply for this award. Applications are received on a rolling basis. Trustees meet on the third Thursday of the odd-numbered months to review funding requests.

    Award Details

    Award amounts vary. Each applicant will complete an application indicating the nature of the request and description of the project, and how the award will be used. The Trust is administered by a Board of Trustees who meet to review all written funding requests.
