    FWP offers Montana schools (4th-12th grades) grant funds to visit the new Montana WILD - Education Center located at Spring Meadow Lake State Park in Helena, MT. The goal of this grant program is to assist outlying” schools to come and learn at Montana WILD.

  • Eligibility Details

    Montana public, outlying schools are eligible. Outlying school districts are those which are located 50 or more miles (one way) from the Montana WILD Center. To be eligible for lodging costs, the outlying schools must be 150 or more miles (one way) from the Center.

    Deadline Details

    Applications were to be submitted by May 28, 2021. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.

    Award Details

    The state legislature has appropriated $25,000 per year in total funding for outlying school districts to visit Montana WILD. Districts can apply for up to $2,500 per school for reimbursement of transportation & lodging costs.
